India will need to win their fourth test against Australia in Ahmedabad to book a place in the WTC Final 2023.
Australia earned a convincing nine-wicket victory over India in the third Test to book a place at this year’s ICC World Test Championship Final.
However, who will join them remains to be seen. Australia have registered an impressive 68.52 of their possible WTC points, while India are still second in the standings with 60.29 of their possible points.
Who will reach the WTC Final 2023?
Chances are high that India will qualify for the one-off Test at The Oval in June, but Sri Lanka can still overtake them should results go against Rohit Sharma’s side over the coming weeks.
However, a victory in the fourth Test against Australia will ensure that the two sides will meet in the final in England.
Sri Lanka have two Tests to play away from home against New Zealand this month, and they have to win 2-0 to keep their hopes of reaching the finals alive.
