West Ham United are interested in a move for Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah this summer, according to a report from GIVEMESPORT.
The Hammers are keen on signing a new midfielder this summer after reaching an agreement with Arsenal over a British-record move for captain Declan Rice. They have been linked with a number of replacements, including Joao Palhinha and Denis Zakaria.
West Ham have indicated their interest in USMNT and Valencia star Musah, who has been made available for a transfer by the cash-strapped Spanish side. His club rejected a verbal offer from Chelsea to sign him in January.
Valencia will look to request a fee of around £20m for the 20-year-old US international, who is also on the radar of Fulham in the Premier League and Serie A side AC Milan.
West Ham add Yunus Musah to list of targets
West Ham have come into a significant amount of money after their sale of Rice to Arsenal, and are keen to strengthen their squad after finishing just six points clear of the relegation zone last season. Although they won the UEFA Europa Conference League, their league performance was not good enough.
Musah becomes the latest and youngest midfield target for the Hammers. Despite only being 20 years old, the former Arsenal youngster has featured extensively for club and country, making 108 appearances for Valencia and 24 for his country.
West Ham will be getting a player capable of impacting the game in several phases of play of they move for Musah, with the 20-year-old quite versatile in midfield.
