Nuno Tavares could leave Arsenal this transfer window with West Ham and Galatasaray showing interest in the £25m rated defender, according to Italian media outlet, Tuttomercato. 

The 23-year-old joined Arsenal from Benfica in the summer of 2021 and spent the entirety of last season on loan at French Ligue 1 club, Olympique de Marseille.

The Portuguese left-back is seeking a move away from the Emirates with West Ham and Galatasaray showing keen interest in signing him.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is likely to remain Mikel Arteta’s first-choice left-back in the coming campaign, while Kieran Tierney is being linked with a move to his old club Celtic.

It is still unlikely that Tavares will get regular playing time, and is seeking a permanent move away from the Gunners.

The Hammers who are close to finalizing the departure of club captain, Declan Rice to Arsenal are looking to add adequate reinforcements to their squad ahead of next season’s Premier League and Europa League campaigns.

West Ham are not short of funds after recouping a £105m British record fee for Rice. In a bid to bolster their team this summer, the Hammers are looking to bolster their defence, and Tavares is being eyed as an option.

The 23-year-old certainly has the quality to be an important player for the Premier League side, and he will look to make his mark at the London Stadium if the transfer goes through.

The left-back scored six goals across all competitions for Marseille last season and his attacking prowess from a full-back role would be a vital asset for West Ham if they get him.

The 23-year-old defender is still quite young and is likely to improve under the tutelage of an experienced manager like David Moyes.
