The USA and Netherlands met again since they faced each other in the 2019 FIFA World Cup final and this one ended in a 1-1 draw.

Jill Roord opened the scoring for the Dutch before Lindsay Horan tied the game in the second half.

It all started in the 16th minute when Roord was able to power a strike from just inside the box and was able to beat the American keeper Alyssa Naeher.

Two minutes later the Americans went looking for the equalizer and it was Trinity Rodman with a powerful shot from distance right at the Dutch keeper Daphne Van Domeselaar.

In the 62nd minute, Horan tied the game off a corner and was able to head a ball into the back of the net to tie the game at one.

Five minutes later Alex Morgan thought she gave the Americans the lead by getting a great feed from Rodman and beating the keeper but the offside flag went up.

The Americans had two more chances to score but both shots missed the mark with one going wide and the other one getting deflected off a player and out.

The USA will look to advance in their final game against Portugal while the Netherlands will face Vietnam.
