Malcom has a chance of leaving Zenit Saint Petersburg six months after being courted by French Ligue 1 club, Paris Saint-Germain, according to Foot Mercato.
The Brazilian winger was one of several targets to replace Pablo Sanabria who was signed by Wolverhampton Wanderers last winter transfer window.
Along with Malcom, Olympique Lyonnais’s Rayan Cherki, PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko, and Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech were all targeted to add reinforcement in attack for the French club.
The latter almost signed for Les Parisiens on deadline day but a deal fell off due to a series of technical mistakes from Chelsea.
PSG have already acquired winger, Marco Asensio from Real Madrid and it is unclear if the French club will rekindle their interest in Malcom.
However, PSG sporting advisor Luís Campos is said to be a fan of the 26-year-old after trying to sign him in the January transfer window, as per L’equipe.
Campos was hoping to sign Malcom for free due to a FIFA rule put into place that allows players of Russian and Ukrainian clubs to temporarily cancel their contracts.
The former Girondins de Bordeaux player was also attracted to the Parisian project and the prospect of returning to play in the French Ligue 1 was intriguing.
Along with PSG, they’ve been interest from Liverpool and clubs in the Saudi Pro League but no concrete proposal has been made to either the player or his club.
With the appointment of Luis Enrique as the new PSG boss, it is unlikely the French club will reignite interest in the Brazilian due to an already stocked attack at their disposal.
