Liverpool are prepared to reject any approach from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal for Colombian winger Luis Diaz this summer, as per The Athletic.
Saudi Arabian clubs have emerged as this summer’s biggest spenders, targeting young and vibrant stars from Europe’s top leagues as they look to strengthen their league this summer.
Controlled by the PIF, Al-Hilal are prepared to make an offer of £43.3m to Liverpool for 26-year-old winger Diaz, who joined the Reds in January 2022 for £50m from FC Porto.
Liverpool will reject any advances from the Saudi side for Diaz, who they value at more than £50m. The winger was handed the club’s number seven shirt this summer ahead of what is expected to be a big season for him.
Liverpool keen to keep hold of Luis Diaz
Liverpool have made their stance clear on Diaz as they intend to keep the Colombian winger. Saudi clubs may offer an outrageous wage package that would tempt the player, as they have done with Jordan Henderson.

The Reds will look to get more out of Diaz as one of their stars in the 2023-24 season after injuries prevented him from lighting up the 2022-23 season for them. He is expected to play a starring role for Jurgen Klopp’s side this summer.
Al-Hilal must not be ruled out from making an official approach for Diaz as they look to add more quality to their squad following the signings of Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Neves. Liverpool would do well to stave off their interest in Diaz, who has played only 47 times for the side.
