Leeds United are reportedly keen to sign Manchester United winger Amad Diallo this summer as they look to bounce back to the Premier League.Â
According to Sunday People (25 June, page 56), the Whites could make a loan move for the 21-year-old exciting winger.
The Whites could lose both Jack Harrison and Wilfried Gnonto this summer, and Diallo could come in as a cheap replacement.
Diallo spent the last season on loan at Sunderland from United where he enjoyed a fantastic campaign. He scored 14 goals for Tony Mowbray’s Black Cats in the Championship and could repeat a similar feat for Leeds again next season.
Amad Diallo – what the future holds for him?Â
Erik ten Hag plans to use him on the club’s summer tour to the USA. He will be closely observed before the club will make a final decision on whether he allow him to go out on loan.
The Ivory Coast winger has dropped down the pecking order behind Argentinian sensation Alejandro Garnacho and Uruguayan Facundo Pellistri, and a loan move away from United looks likely.
Leeds are aiming to return to the Premier League quickly and therefore Ten Hag could be tempted to send him there on loan. At the same time, United may decide to send him to any of the newly promoted Premier League sides to continue his development.
The Whites are yet to appoint a new manager, and until there’s someone in place, all incoming and outgoing transfers have been put on hold.
Diallo would be a fantastic addition to the Whites and could be an ideal replacement for either Harrison or Gnonto.
