Fulham are interested in signing Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi on a permanent deal this summer, as per Sky Sports News.
Chelsea winger Hudson-Odoi spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen but failed to make much of an impression at the club, with form and fitness issues causing him to be dropped from the squad. The Blues intend to sell him this summer as he is not in the club’s plans anymore.
Hudson-Odoi has a market value of £12.8m and is contracted to Chelsea until 2024. With the club unwilling to offer him a new contract, it is certain that he will be sold this summer.
Fulham turn to neighbours for Callum Hudson-Odoi
Fulham need to sign players to keep them competitive in the Premier League after an admirable 2022-23 season from the club. Making a move for a player like Hudson-Odoi with Premier League experience is smart as he will likely be allowed to leave for cheap.
Hudson-Odoi was one of the brightest talents in world football when he emerged as a teenager at Chelsea but an Achilles injury stunted his development and he is now fighting to get his career back on track. With a point to prove, the England international will be keen to move to a club where he will play regularly.
Fulham have to battle Nottingham Forest for the winger, but the club’s proximity to Chelsea and where he grew up may be a deciding factor for him to join.
