Everton team news vs Crystal Palace: Dominic Calvert-Lewin fit to play

Everton boss Sean Dyche has revealed that striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin could feature ahead of their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

The Toffees will travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday (22 April) in a crucial Premier League game, and they badly need points on board.

Everton have been dreadful away from home this season, and have managed just one win from their last eight Premier League games.

Calvert-Lewin has not played for the Toffees since February 4 due to a hamstring injury, but he did play 70 minutes during a behind-closed-doors friendly against non-League Chester on Tuesday (18 April).

“He’ll certainly be in the thinking,” Dyche said ahead of Crystal Palace vs Everton.

“The (Chester) game the other day was all about him. He felt good.

“Players can sometimes be like that when they have feelings against certain teams. I call this his proper return. Statistically, he’s proved where he is fitness-wise, it was my idea to take him off after playing 70 mins.”

The Toffees will be without skipper Seamus Coleman for this game due to a hamstring injury.

Ruben Vinagre – on loan from Sporting – has also picked up an injury and the club will assess whether he will require surgery.

Andros Townsend has still not recovered fully from his ACL injury and he is not in contention for the game.

Amadou Onana has returned to training following a groin injury. The midfielder has been in great form this season, but doubts remain about whether Dyche will pick him from the start.

Everton are without a win in their last four Premier League games, having lost two games in a row. They are 17th in the Premier League table having managed just one win away from home all season.
