Everton have made an enquiry to Italian giants Juventus over the availability of Belgian youngster Koni De Winter this summer, according to Tutto Juve.
The Toffees are in need of reinforcements all over the pitch to their squad which underwhelmed during the 2022-23 season, and are looking at a number of players from all over Europe.
Everton have made an approach to Juventus to enquire about the possibility of signing highly-rated 21-year-old defender De Winter this summer. The Toffees are hopeful of securing a deal with the Bianconeri for the youngster as they need to raise money this summer.
De Winter has a market value of £3.4m and is keen to play regularly in the 2023-24 season after he spent the previous season on loan at Empoli.
Everton keen to tempt Juventus for Koni De Winter
Everton are interested in signing De Winter, who has been informed by Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri that he will be a member of the first-team squad next season, according to reports.
With club captain Leonardo Bonucci being axed from the team, De Winter will get a chance in the club’s preseason tour of the USA. The Belgium U-21 international will be keen to prove his worth to Allegri, the man who handed him his senior debut at the club.
Any deal for De Winter is expected to be complicated as the youngster will be keen to make his mark at Juventus next season. The versatile youngster played 14 times on loan at Empoli last season and will look to play a bigger role in the 2023-24 season.
