Everton eye move for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos

Everton are showing keen interest in signing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos in the summer transfer window, as per Fanatik

The Colombian striker will be a free agent at the end of the season, and the Gers are not going to renew his contract.

Fenerbahce – who have already “reached an agreement” with Rangers winger Ryan Kent – and the Turkish giants want Morelos as well.

The Turkish club are working hard to bring both Kent and Morelos as they feel the pair will add tremendous quality to their side.

Everton will look to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window but they can’t make any decision until the season ends.

The Toffees are battling for Premier League survival and they need to pick up at least one win from their remaining two games to avoid the drop.

Rangers news: Alfredo Morelos – good signing for Everton?

The 26-year-old striker has been outstanding for the club all these years. He has been a goal machine for them and has joined the elite club of players who have scored over 100 goals for the Gers.

Morelos played a key role for Rangers to help them reach the 2022 Europa League final, where they lost to Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties.

The Colombian also was part of Steven Gerrard’s side that won the 2021 SPFL title.

The 2022-23 campaign hasn’t been spectacular for him, but he has still managed 12 goals this season in all competitions.

Everton news

The Toffees badly need to bolster their forward department. Neal Maupay has proved to be a big flop since his move from Brighton, and he needs to be replaced.

Everton are heavily reliant on Dominic Calvert-Lewin who has struggled with fitness in the past two seasons.

Morelos is a terrific goalscorer but his fitness and attitude have come under question this season.

The Toffees have some excellent young talents coming through the ranks, but they can’t make proper transfer plans before knowing where they stand at the end of the season.
