Aston Villa are now looking to bolster their wing areas and they have asked about the possibility of signing Jadon Sancho, as per journalist Rudy Galetti.Â
Unai Emery is looking to build a strong squad for next season, and they have already signed Youri Tielemans and Pau Torres.
The Spaniard is now looking to add new faces in wide areas and Galetti says the Villans have “many names on their list”, including Sancho.
Sancho joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 on a big-money transfer fee, but he has failed to light up Old Trafford.
The England winger has failed to justify his price tag and there are some suggestions that the 23-year-old could be allowed to leave at the right price.
Sancho has managed 12 goals and six assists in 79 appearances for the Red Devils, and his overall performances have been far from satisfactory.
Galetti says that Villa have enquired about Sancho in the past weeks, but they feel the price tag set by United is too high.
“After Tielemans and Pau Torres, the midfield and the defence are okay,” said Galetti.
“Aston Villa are now working to strengthen the wing (left and right).
“They have many names on their list that have already been explored, like Moussa Diaby of Bayern Leverkusen.
“In the past weeks, the Villans asked for information about Sancho, but the price tag set by Manchester United is considered too high.”
Villa have been linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby and have submitted a bid €35m (£30m) plus add-ons already, which was rejected.
While United could be willing to offload Sancho at the right price, it appears that he is way too expensive for Villa. Emery may have to look for other options.
