Alan Shearer has hailed Joe Willock after he produced an outrageous pass from which Alexander Isak scored on Sunday.
The Magpies humiliated Tottenham Hotspur with five goals in 21 minutes in the first half, as they managed a 6-1 win to consolidate their position in the top four.
Jacob Murphy and Isak scored twice, while Joelinton and Callum Wilson were on the scoresheet as Newcastle produced a masterclass performance at St James’ Park.
Isak scored from a peach of a pass from Willock, and Shearer wrote on Twitter that it was a “sensational” delivery, and could be the pass of the season.

Newcastle United were just too good
Playing under an electrifying atmosphere, the Magpies started the game with great ferocity as they opened the scoring in just 62 seconds.
Murphy, who was on the periphery at Tyneside, has become a key player under Eddie Howe. Likewise, Joelinton, who was seen as a poor signing, has been different class this season.
It was seen as a crucial game for both sides in the race for the top four, and the Magpies responded brilliantly. They generally make a strong start at home, but after getting the opening goal, they simply tore Spurs apart.
The first 21 minutes were like a dream for the fans, as Newcastle didn’t give Spurs a moment to regroup. They were too powerful for them, but what really surprised everyone was the lack of energy and desire from the visiting side.
Joe Willock delivered an instinctive pass from the outside of his boot to find Isak. The vision and the accuracy of the pass leave everyone in awe.
