AC Milan are closing in on a deal to sign American midfielder Yunus Musah from Valencia, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The Rossoneri are strengthening their squad this summer after failing in their Serie A title defence in 2022-23, finishing in fourth place 20 points behind eventual winners Napoli. They have added several players to the squad and are keen on adding a number of other targets.
AC Milan are set to complete the signing of 20-year-old midfielder Musah, who is prepared to join the Italian giants. The player has been left out of Valencia’s latest preseason match against Nottingham Forest in order to allow him complete his transfer to the San Siro.
Musah has agreed to a deal until 2027 with the Italian giants and is expected to cost them in the region of £17m this summer.
AC Milan closing in on Valencia star Yunus Musah
USMNT midfielder Musah is set to be reunited with international teammate and captain Christian Pulisic at San Siro, with the forward having joined the club this summer. He will join Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tijjani Reijnders, Luka Romero and a host of other stars in moving to the club ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Arsenal academy graduate Musah has been at Valencia since 2020 and has featured extensively for the Spanish side, making 108 senior appearances since his professional bow. He featured 37 times across all competitions as Valencia narrowly escaped relegation from La Liga in 2022-23.
Valencia are hoping to get a good fee from the sale of 24-cap US international Musah to help relieve some of their financial worries this summer.
